Description
The Escalation League will take place over 9 weeks, running from Sunday, April 16th, 2023 and ending on June 18th, 2023. Players will be paired in one round a week each week on Sundays. They will then have the entire week to contact their opponents and play their game within the store sometime during operating hours. Event pairings will be posted and coordinated through the store’s Discord server.
The “escalation” aspect of the event refers to the fact that the league will play three games at different levels of competitive play. There will be prizes for the best overall league records, as well as several Best in Grand Alliance awards. Finally, there will be prizes for Sportsmanship and Painting! The first three weeks will start at 1000 point lists. Starting with week four, lists will increase to 1500 points, till finally raising to 2000 point lists starting week seven.
While players in the event can indeed play on any day of the week during store hours, the TO for the event will be at Crazy Squirrel in person on the currently scheduled times for open play minis (Thursdays 6-9 pm and Sundays Noon to 5 pm) during the duration of the event.
